Job Summary:
Perform nursing care in a Med Surg, overflow unit, post-surgical, and observation setting, supporting patient recovery and transition to team nursing. Ensure high standards of patient safety and care quality during assigned shift.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical/medical environment.
• Transition patients efficiently to team nursing through clear communication and documentation.
• Administer medications, monitor patient vital signs, and respond to clinical emergencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and response accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state or a compact license.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent med-surg or similar clinical experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner or similar EHR systems preferred.
• Meet all travel compliance requirements, including vaccination and background checks.
• Successfully complete at least one prior travel assignment, preferably exceeding 3 years of total experience.
