Early Childhood Special Education Teacher – Preschool | Phoenix, AZ

TactStaff Education is hiring an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for an immediate-start opportunity in Phoenix, Arizona! We are seeking a passionate preschool special education teacher who enjoys helping young children with diverse developmental and learning needs build foundational academic, communication, social-emotional, and functional skills.

This onsite preschool teaching opportunity offers a collaborative classroom environment with dedicated instructional support staff and a four-day student schedule.

Position Details

• Job Title: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher / Preschool SPED Teacher

• Location: Phoenix, AZ, near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road

• Start Date: Immediate

• Setting: Preschool special education, self-contained classroom

• Schedule: Onsite, 4 student days per week

• Caseload: Approximately 18–20 students across two half-day preschool classes

• Classroom Staffing: One teacher and two classroom assistants

• Employment Type: W-2 contract through TactStaff Education

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction for preschool students with disabilities and developmental delays.

• Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).

• Support early childhood development in communication, pre-academic skills, social interaction, behavior, independence, and functional routines.

• Adapt classroom activities, learning materials, and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.

• Collaborate with classroom assistants, related service providers, families, and school staff to support student progress.

• Monitor developmental and educational progress, collect data, and maintain accurate IEP documentation.

• Establish a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning, participation, and positive behavior.

• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the educational team to support student goals.

Qualifications

• Appropriate Arizona special education teaching certification or licensure for early childhood special education.

• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

• Experience teaching preschool students, early childhood special education, or students with developmental delays preferred.

• Knowledge of IEP implementation, developmentally appropriate practices, and individualized instruction.

• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organization skills.

• A genuine passion for helping young children develop foundational skills and prepare for future educational success.
