Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care within the operating room environment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through coordination, assessment, and intervention. Supervises and collaborates with the surgical team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and deliver perioperative nursing care, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care during procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and status throughout surgical interventions, responding promptly to changes.
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures, preoperative preparations, and postoperative care plans.
• Document all nursing activities, assessments, and interventions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing team members, fostering a collaborative, safe environment.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent operating room or perioperative nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system required.
• Ability to analyze clinical data and develop effective care plans.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
