Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide occupational therapy services to patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders, following all regulatory and clinical standards. Deliver skilled, rehabilitative treatment interventions to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Screen and evaluate patients’ cognitive and physical functioning to develop personalized care plans.
- Administer therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities, including assistive device use, as part of the rehabilitation plan.
- Assess patient progress regularly and modify treatments accordingly, documenting outcomes in the clinical record.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, providing consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of all services, treatment minutes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support supervision of occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students, maintaining adherence to professional practice acts.
Qualifications:
- Possess active Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Massachusetts.
- Have 1+ years of OTA experience, with LTC or rehab experience required.
- Demonstrate proficiency in therapeutic interventions for cognitive and ADL disorders.
- Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Capable of documenting clinical activities accurately and timely.
