Job Summary:
The Laboratory Technician I performs blood collection, specimen preparation, and handling under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager. This role ensures accurate specimen identification, transportation, and clerical duties to support laboratory operations.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and prepare blood samples following laboratory protocols.
• Verify patient and specimen identification for accuracy and compliance.
• Transport and handle specimens safely to maintain sample integrity.
• Perform clerical functions related to specimen processing and documentation.
• Carry out special projects and process specimens according to policy.
• Ensure timely completion of training modules and compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

• Valid California State CPTI-Certified Phlebotomy Technician I certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Ability to accurately identify patients and specimens.
• Demonstrate knowledge of laboratory safety and specimen handling procedures.
• Must upload and maintain current certifications with valid expiration dates.
• Ability to work night shifts (5x8, 20:00–4:30) and every other weekend.
