Job Summary:
The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures within a busy Cardiac Cath Lab unit. They ensure the safe operation of equipment, assist with patient care, and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Scrub in and assist during complex cardiac cath procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques.
• Operate specialized equipment such as temporary pacemakers, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, IVUS, and other imaging tools.
• Support physicians and nurses by preparing the procedure area and managing patient monitoring systems.
• Maintain thorough documentation of procedures in the EMR and communicate effectively with team members.
• Follow unit policies, safety protocols, and dress code requirements, including scrubbing in blue attire.
• Rotate call responsibilities during weekends and after hours to provide continuous coverage.

Qualifications:

• Hold current RCIS or ARRT certification for Tech candidates, or RN licensure with ACLS certification for Nurses.
• Demonstrate experience in cardiac catheterization procedures and equipment management.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, with assertiveness and effective communication.
• Be able to work in a team environment, handling high-pressure situations confidently.
• Be willing to support cross-functional areas within the unit as required.
