Job Summary:
Provide specialized postoperative care to surgical patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered nursing interventions during the recovery phase following surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' vital signs, neurological status, and oxygenation levels upon arrival and throughout recovery.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps to ensure optimal patient stability.
• Administer medications, including drip titrations, as prescribed to manage pain and sedation.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-surgical care and recovery expectations.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with minimum 2 years of current PACU or ICU experience.
• Demonstrate competency in ventilator management and emergency procedures.
• Possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Display strong organizational skills, reliability, and ability to multitask effectively.
• Have experience with Meditech EMR or similar systems preferred.
