Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing to postoperative cardiac surgery patients within the CVICU, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through advanced clinical skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced cardiac care including hemodynamic monitoring, PA catheter management, and device support such as ECMO and LVADs.
• Perform complex procedures including central line insertions, Swan-Ganz catheter placements, and intubations.
• Monitor and respond to patient status using Phillips telemetry monitors and other advanced ICU equipment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately in Meditech system and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
• Float to other ICU units as needed to support staffing and patient care continuity.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of critical care experience, including CVICU.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS required.
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and familiarity with devices such as Impella and IABP preferred.
• Strong skills in invasive procedures and post-operative cardiac care.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
