Job Summary:
The Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech is responsible for conducting and analyzing sleep studies to assist physicians in diagnosing sleep disorders. This role involves patient preparation, executing various sleep tests, and accurately documenting findings to support clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality polysomnograms and CPAP titration studies in accordance with established protocols.
• Operate sleep study equipment, including impedance checks, calibrations, and data recording.
• Obtain patient consent for procedures, document patient history, and complete pre- and post-sleep questionnaires.
• Recognize sleep states, apneas, and sleep architecture abnormalities during recordings.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sleep data, clinical notes, and event logs for interpretation by physicians.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of medical data following facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited School of Respiratory Care with an Associates of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy.
• Certification in CPR.
• Registered by ABSM, NBRC, or BRPT (RST, RPSGT, RRT-SDS) with current certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of sleep study scoring experience.
• Capable of recognizing sleep stages, apneas, and sleep efficiency.
• Ability to operate sleep lab equipment and demonstrate strong eye-hand coordination.
