Job Summary:

Experienced RN needed for Medical Surgical/Telemetry units with specialized skills in phlebotomy and IV placement. This role requires flexibility across different units and adherence to all clinical competencies and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform phlebotomy and IV placement to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response situations.
• Collaborate with PCTs to conduct vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and assist with activities of daily living.
• Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions while delivering patient-specific treatments.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records.
• Float within scope between MS, ICU, and ED units as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active NY RN license with a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
• Strong proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac patients.
• Certified in BLS.
• Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy and IV insertions competently.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Ability to work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
