Job Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the operating room setting, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Delivers safe, effective, and holistic perioperative services to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments and develop individualized care plans for surgical patients.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, and monitoring during surgical procedures in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure operating room safety standards are met throughout surgical interventions.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
• Respond promptly to intraoperative emergencies, providing appropriate interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license and recent RN licensure verified through Nursys.
• Possess BLS (AHA) certification and additional certifications relevant to perioperative nursing.
• Demonstrate minimum of 2 years of operating room experience, with scrub and circulate skills.
• Have experience with cardiac, hepatobiliary, robotic, spine, and ophthalmology surgeries preferred.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
