Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Surgical Trauma ICU, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and promoting positive patient outcomes. Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing interventions for trauma and surgical ICU patients.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and diagnostic data, adjusting treatments as needed.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, central line insertion, and trach placement.
• Document patient care accurately in the Cerner PowerChart system.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and modify care plans.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with active ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in trauma or surgical ICU settings.
• Possess strong procedural skills including intubation, central line placement, and CRRT.
• Exhibit excellent teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Experience working in a Magnet-designated hospital or Level I Trauma Center preferred.
