Job Description
Job Summary:
A Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans to improve patients' speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive abilities. They deliver therapy services to promote communication and safety, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive functions.
- Lead the delivery of speech therapy services, guiding patients through targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Ensure all services comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Texas Speech Language Pathologist license or valid licensure through a compact.
- Possess at least 2 years of clinical experience as an SLP.
- Demonstrate clinical competence in speech, language, and swallowing therapies.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain current knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
