Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the stepdown/unit-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Intensive Medical Care (IMC) settings. Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes through skilled assessment, intervention, and coordination of care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the IMC/PCU/Stepdown units during night shifts.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess condition changes, and document findings accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments following facility protocols and patient needs.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, utilizing ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Float within scope to cover various units as needed, ensuring consistent patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active South Carolina or Compact nursing license prior to start date.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent hospital stepdown or PCU experience.
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications; NIHSS preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Willing to work 3x12 night shifts, including holiday rotation and every other weekend.
• Ability to comply with hurricane season emergency response assignments.
