Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective childbirth experiences. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes and support postpartum recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Manage labor and delivery processes, including cervical checks, IV starts, and medication administration.
• Perform and assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs using standard and wireless fetal monitoring equipment.
• Support neonatal transition and immediate postpartum care of newborns.
• Document clinical interventions and patient responses accurately in the EMR system.
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and provide patient education and support.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.
• Strong independent L&D skills, including cervical checks, IV starts, and medication management (oxytocin, magnesium).
• Experience with labor management and performing procedures such as IUPC and FSE placement.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a friendly, open personality.
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse and GE CPNConnect EMRs.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
