Job Summary:

Provide specialized emergency nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department, ensuring prompt and effective treatment for acute patient needs. Demonstrate expertise in critical procedures and patient communication to support positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly upon arrival to determine urgency and prioritize care needs.
• Perform established emergency procedures including central line placement, chest tube insertion, IV insertion, and moderate sedation.
• Monitor patient vitals and support respiratory treatments using advanced equipment.
• Document all interventions accurately in Meditech documentation system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including ED Techs, paramedics, and physicians to deliver comprehensive care.
• Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to hospital safety standards, including dress code and certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with 2-3 years of ED experience.
• Acquire BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, CPI (w/n 30 days), and TNCC certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment, emergent procedures, and use of GE Monitors, Lucas 3, Glidescope, EV 1000, Level 1 infuser.
• Exhibit strong communication and patient education skills, maintaining patient/family engagement.
• Ability to work a 13-week shift schedule with weekend and holiday rotations.
