Job Summary:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides specialized perioperative nursing care during intraoperative surgical procedures. They ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care in the operating room and related perioperative settings, acting as advocates for patients and supervising assigned personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and plan perioperative nursing activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Implement the care plan by protecting patients from injury and ensuring correct surgical procedures.
• Administer medications safely and verify patient and specimen management in accordance with policies.
• Communicate patient status effectively among interdisciplinary team members throughout the surgical process.
• Document nursing interventions accurately and maintain compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, utilizing problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associate of Science in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Possess a current RN license in the State of Oregon.
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, & PALS certifications; TNCC is required.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and adapt to changing tasks efficiently.
• Recognize the importance of patient confidentiality and communicate empathetically.
• Experience is preferred in perioperative nursing, with additional certifications such as CNOR advantageous.
