Job Summary:

Seeking a Med/Surg Tele FLOAT POOL RN to provide comprehensive patient care across multiple units including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department. This role offers flexible shifts during winter coverage periods, with opportunities for extended assignment and potential unit rotation to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in Med/Surg Tele units, adhering to clinical protocols and standards.
• Float between designated units and ED as necessary, adapting to varying patient needs.
• Complete required assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, with acceptable competency scores.
• Maintain all active certifications including Ohio or compact license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Document patient care accurately in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Work at least every other holiday to support hospital staffing needs.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg or Tele units, ideally within one facility but can be cumulative.
• Hold an active Ohio or compact nursing license and required certifications in hand at the time of submission.
• Demonstrate recent Med/Surg/Tele experience, with travel experience considered acceptable.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with passing scores.
• Provide a manager or supervisor reference from the past 12 months to qualify.
• Be willing to work variable shifts, including nights and days, in a 12-hour schedule.
