Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a hospital or outpatient setting. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver chemotherapy treatments and manage patient recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and other prescribed medications to oncology patients.
• Monitor and assess patient responses to treatments, adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, side effects, and self-care strategies.
• Document patient care activities accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain certifications required for chemotherapy administration.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years recent experience in oncology or hematology-oncology.
• Obtain and maintain AHA BLS and NIH certification.
• Possess chemotherapy certification and demonstrated competence in administering chemotherapy.
• Have experience working in trauma level 1, ICU, or oncology units preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills.
