Job Summary:
Provides specialized post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in the PACU. Ensures patient safety, stability, and comfort through vigilant assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient's vital signs and clinical status continuously during recovery.
• Perform comprehensive post-operative assessments and identify any complications.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, following safety protocols.
• Coordinate with surgical teams and physicians to ensure seamless patient handoff and care.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Provide patient and family education regarding post-operative care and recovery expectations.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years recent experience in PACU or similar specialty.
• Valid AHA ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Certification in NIHSS preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with higher acuity cases.
• Flexibility to work scheduled hours including holidays and call shifts.
