Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical manages patient care in a hospital setting, ensuring safety, effective treatment, and patient education. They collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based nursing services and support patient recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients to develop personalized care plans.
• Provide and coordinate nursing care, monitoring patient responses and adjusting interventions as needed.
• Utilize technology appropriately, adhering to safety standards and infection prevention protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care procedures, documenting education provided.
• Report any actual or potential adverse events per hospital procedures, maintaining compliance with safety standards.
• Engage in self-assessment, peer review, and ongoing professional development to maintain licensure and competency.

Qualifications:

• Possess a current Michigan RN license with verification at profile upload.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing evidence-based tools and adhering to policies and standards of care.
• Own reliable transportation to/from shifts and comply with dress code requirements.
