Job Summary:
This ICU/PCU/Stepdown nurse role focuses on patients with burn injuries, muscle flaps, and head and neck surgeries, requiring critical care expertise. The nurse will provide advanced care in a unit that may utilize team nursing or primary nursing models to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, including those on vents and telemetry devices.
• Complete extensive burn wound dressings, ensuring strict adherence to clinical protocols.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform IV placements as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including N95 fitting and infection control measures.
• Float within hospital units or to nearby facilities based on census and skill set.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license, with any disciplinary actions disclosed.
• Must have at least 2 years of hospital experience, preferably in a Level 1 or 2 trauma center.
• Demonstrate proficiency with vent management, telemetry, and EPIC charting.
• Be able to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment and complete required orientation modules.
• Have current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Travel experience and previous agency or hospital employment at Premier Health Partners is preferred.
