Job Summary:
The Infusion Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care focused on the safe administration and monitoring of intravenous therapies, biologics, blood products, and other infusions. This role involves patient education, managing infusion reactions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor intravenous infusions accurately and safely in accordance with evidence-based practice.
• Assess patients thoroughly to develop individualized care plans and evaluate responses to treatments.
• Educate patients and their families about infusion therapies, discharge instructions, and safety precautions.
• Recognize and respond promptly to infusion reactions and other adverse events, escalating care as needed.
• Collaborate with providers, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, referrals, and follow-up services.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska or eligible to practice.
• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications, obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and handle high-risk situations.
