Job Summary:
The Nurse Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical education programs to enhance staff competencies and ensure regulatory compliance. They serve as a liaison for clinical training, oversee trauma registrar activities, and support professional development across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, teach, and assess clinical training programs aligned with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Coordinate educational activities for staff certification in BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and other emergency programs.
• Oversee the trauma registrar program to maintain compliance, trauma designation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with department managers to identify educational needs and develop targeted competency programs.
• Maintain current knowledge of regulations and standards relevant to clinical practice, ensuring compliance across the organization.
• Supervise trauma registry personnel and support outlying clinics in trauma designation and recertification efforts.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with an active, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or another U.S. state.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical instructor experience and 5 years of nursing practice, including 2 years in a specialty (ER, ICU, OB, OR).
• Current certifications or ability to obtain ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC instructor credentials within specified timeframes.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience and knowledge of trauma and emergency nursing standards.
• Proficiency in developing and facilitating adult learning education and competency assessments.
