Job Summary:
Provides skilled physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, focusing on implementing treatment plans to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function across various clinical settings.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapy treatments aligned with the physical therapist’s plan of care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Review clinical records and case histories to inform treatment approaches.
• Document patient encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, activities, and equipment to promote independence.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to ensure appropriate medical equipment and discharge plans are established.
• Assist in home assessments and provide therapy services at various community and off-site locations, including remote areas.

Qualifications:

• Hold an associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• Licensed and current as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Maintain current CPR (BLS) certification.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate clinical competency within 3 months of hire, with ongoing training every three years.
• Preferably have inpatient and outpatient clinical experience with knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and treatment planning.
