Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients on a Med Surg overflow unit, assisting with post-surgical and observation needs. Collaborates with the team to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and timely.
• Monitor patient vitals, conditions, and responses to interventions.
• Document patient care activities clearly and thoroughly in electronic health records.
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state or compliant with NLC guidelines.
• Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience in a Med Surg setting.
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment completed.
• Proficient in EMR systems, preferably EPIC.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to unit transitions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
