Job Summary:
The CVOR RN will provide specialized perioperative care in a high-volume cardiac and open-heart surgery environment. This role requires flexibility, technical proficiency, and experience in a large academic hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and assist in cardiac and open-heart surgeries within the operating room.
• Maintain patient safety through adherence to sterile procedures and surgical protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes.
• Circulate and scrub in various OR specialties, including general, ortho, neuro, and ENT, as needed.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond quickly to intraoperative changes.
• Ensure proper documentation in Epic EMR, with recent experience from within the past 2 years.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CVOR certification and active RN licensure.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience, with high competency in CV / Open Heart procedures.
• Have prior travel experience with reliable transportation and flexible scheduling ability.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR systems.
• Be SCRUB HEARTS certified and BLS certified; CNOR preferred.
• Have experience working in a large, academic, teaching hospital environment.
