Job Summary:
Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to critically ill newborns in a fast-paced, family-centered environment. Ensure high-quality patient care through clinical expertise, compassion, and adherence to unit policies.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including monitoring vital signs and managing ventilators and infusion therapies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate families on infant care, medical procedures, and ongoing treatment plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Adhere to evidence-based practices and unit policies to maintain the highest standards of neonatal care.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies and escalate concerns to the healthcare team as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state or multi-state compact.
• Possess a minimum of 1-year recent hospital NICU experience.
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with neonatal medical equipment such as incubators, NIPPV, and various types of nasal cannulas.
• Preferably have pediatric experience and Meditech EMR familiarity.
• Exhibit compassionate, adaptable, and detail-oriented qualities to support family-centered care.
