Job Summary:
Experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse needed to provide care on a small, specialized pediatric unit. The RN will manage patient care independently, often as the sole caregiver, while supporting adult Med-Surg units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients, maintaining patient ratios of 1:2.
• monitor respiratory status, cardiac function, and utilize specialized equipment such as high-flow oxygen and Bililights.
• Ensure documentation accuracy using Cerner/PowerChart and adhere to documentation protocols.
• Float to adult Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Family Birthplace units based on staffing needs and prior experience.
• Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and monitor for symptoms of common pediatric conditions.
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements and hospital policies, including BLS and PALS.

Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years Pediatric RN experience with adult Med-Surg background.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a small, high-acuity pediatric setting.
• Experience with ventilated patients, respiratory illnesses, and pediatric medical conditions preferred.
• Proficient in using medical equipment such as cardiac monitors and safe place systems.
• Strong communication skills and flexibility to support various hospital units when needed.
