Job Summary:
Provides assistance in patient care related to labor, delivery, and recovery, supporting obstetric procedures and assisting with surgical and bedside duties. Ensures smooth patient flow and maintains sterile environments during obstetric and surgical interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing patient rooms and setting up sterile supplies using aseptic techniques.
• Support the surgical team during obstetrics-related procedures by providing needed instruments and supplies promptly.
• Participate in case timeout procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Aid nursing staff during deliveries with patient preparation, positioning, transport, transfer, and discharge.
• Collect urinalysis specimens and record maternal vital signs, weight, height, and intake/output measurements.
• Perform personal care services and assist patients with activities of daily living, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Qualifications:

• Current CNA certification is required.
• Must have scrub experience and EPIC system proficiency.
• Possess a current BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• At least two years of recent relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
• High school diploma or GED; associate’s/technical degree preferred.
• Certification as a Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician is a plus.
