Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for adult and geriatric cardiac patients. The role involves direct post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients, including management of complex equipment and hemodynamic monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients receiving open-heart surgery, ECMO, Impella, and balloon pump support.
• Monitor and operate advanced equipment such as swantemp pacers, chest tubes, impella devices, IABP, and Prismaflex systems.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to receive patients directly from the OR and ensure seamless post-operative recovery.
• Administer medications and titrate gtts according to physician orders while maintaining safety protocols.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record.
• Float within the hospital as needed to support staffing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with minimum 1 year of recent CVICU experience, including open-heart surgery cases.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; NIHSS preferred.
• Experienced with open-heart procedures and specialized equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work night shifts (19:00–07:00) on a 3x12 schedule.
• Strong critical thinking and patient management skills.
• Candidates must meet travel compliance policies, including verification of license and references.
