Job Summary:
Provides nutritional assessment and care to patients in a high-acuity medical unit, supporting multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Ensures adherence to clinical policies while delivering specialized dietetic services within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and physical exams aligned with unit policies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to coordinate patient care strategies.
• Adhere to documentation standards utilizing Meditech EMR system.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and infection control protocols.
• Support unit operations during scheduled shifts and rotating weekends.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Dietitian (LD) credential.
• Possess at least 1 year of experience in acute care settings.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Have NICU or ICU experience preferred.
• Maintain current Texas licensure.
• Be able to effectively work within a team of dietitians.
