Job Summary:
Seeking a licensed Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join the emergency room lab team for a 13-week travel assignment. This role involves performing point-of-care testing in a fast-paced, critical care environment to support patient diagnostics.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and analyze laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other specimens to assist in patient diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of test results in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment used for point-of-care testing.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality control procedures to ensure reliable test outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff to relay critical results promptly.
• Support laboratory workflow and assist with special testing as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active MLS or MLT certification through ASCP or an equivalent credential.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in an emergency or acute care environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency with point-of-care testing procedures and equipment.
• Maintain strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards and compliance regulations.
• Possess excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to start immediately or within a short notice period.
