Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care in a labor and delivery setting within a teaching facility. The ideal candidate will have experience across OB, nursery, postpartum, and level 2 nursery units, including NICU. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate patient care throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery stages.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure patient safety.
- Administer medications and clinical interventions as prescribed, documenting all care.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum and neonatal care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and protocols for neonatal and obstetric care.
Qualifications:
- Possess valid RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in OB, nursery, postpartum, or NICU settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring, neonatal care, and obstetric nursing.
- Show strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
- Hold current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Exhibit ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, teaching environment.
