Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to obstetric patients across labor, delivery, and postpartum settings. Utilizes assessment, clinical skills, and patient education to support positive outcomes in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments of obstetric patients, including pre and post-delivery evaluations, ensuring systematic and accurate documentation.
• Deliver direct patient care by supporting labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures, adhering to clinical guidelines and safety protocols.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient care, including progress notes, education, and vital signs, in compliance with policies.
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to policies, fostering a team-oriented environment, and identifying opportunities for professional growth.
• Respond to patient and family needs with courtesy and compassion, promoting a respectful environment and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
• Follow safety procedures, including patient identification, universal protocols, and proper transfer techniques, to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Proven clinical experience in obstetric or labor and delivery nursing preferred.
• Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and documentation accurately.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
