Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) looking for a flexible opportunity to make a difference in students’ lives? TactStaff Education is building our roster of dedicated school nurses to support students across K–12 schools in Lakewood, Washington!

We’re seeking compassionate, dependable nursing professionals who are comfortable working with students of varying ages and medical needs. This float position offers flexibility with hours and the opportunity to provide onsite nursing support where it’s needed most.

Position Highlights

• Flexible scheduling: Hours may vary based on school needs and your availability.

• K–12 student support: Provide nursing care for students across elementary, middle, and high school settings.

• Float position: Support different school sites as needed.

• Specialized experience valued: Trach and ventilator experience is highly preferred.

• Meaningful work: Help students safely access their education while supporting their health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite nursing care and health support to K–12 students.

• Monitor student health needs and respond appropriately to medical concerns.

• Follow individualized healthcare plans and school health protocols.

• Support students with complex medical needs, including tracheostomy and ventilator care when applicable.

• Communicate professionally with school staff, families, and healthcare team members as appropriate.

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow applicable safety, confidentiality, and nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State RN or LPN license required.

• Previous nursing experience required; school-based experience is a plus.

• Trach and ventilator experience highly preferred.

• Ability to provide safe, compassionate care in a school environment.

• Flexibility to support students across different school sites and grade levels.

• Reliable transportation to assigned school locations as needed.
