Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care for neuro-medical and surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring safety and compliance with unit policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
• Monitor patient conditions, including neurological assessments, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Document patient status, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain patient safety through infection control, fall prevention, and adherence to hospital protocols.
• Support unit staff with patient care and ensure efficient unit operations during assigned shifts.

Qualifications:

• Current state nursing license (BSN preferred).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with significant neuro or med-surg background preferred.
• Proven ability to manage neurological assessments such as EEGs, EKGs, and bladder scans.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills.
