Job Summary:
Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adolescent to geriatric patients within a medical-surgical unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role involves managing patients with diverse diagnoses using electronic systems and adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and symptoms, and document findings in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and post-hospital care.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, utilizing appropriate interventions and communication tools.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in GA or a Compact state at the time of application.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN clinical experience in medical-surgical units.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficient in Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication protocols.
• Ability to work night shift (3x12 hours) in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to float within scope of practice and perform in a remote telemetry setting.
