Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care within the SICU setting, focusing on critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment. Ensures high standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and adherence to hospital policies.

Responsibilities:

• Critically assess patient condition and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, interpret ECG rhythms, and respond swiftly to emergencies.
• Monitor and record vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of submission.
• Have 18 months of recent SICU experience, including travel experience.
• Possess active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments.
• Be able to work at least every other holiday and complete required compliance tests.
• Complete BCI/FBI background checks within 48 hours of signing.
