Job Description
Job Summary:
Administers radiopharmaceuticals and radiation treatments to diagnose and treat diseases, utilizing advanced radioisotope equipment. Performs screening procedures and ensures optimal patient flow while maintaining high standards of procedure quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies.
- Calculate and administer appropriate doses of radioactive materials under radiologist supervision.
- Perform intravenous injections following established protocols.
- Conduct screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
- Document all radioactive materials, surveys, and patient information accurately.
- Coordinate patient preparation and communicate instructions to care teams.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current state Nuclear Medicine License in CA or HI.
- Be registered by the ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or certified by NMTCB as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in CA or OR.
- Possess venipuncture certification in CA and HI.
- Demonstrate at least two years of recent experience in the nuclear medicine field.
- Maintain current BLS certification and a valid nursing license per state.
- Obtain facility-specific certifications such as HLFS.
