Job Summary:
The ICU Float Pool Nurse provides expert patient care across various adult and geriatric units, including ICU, PCU, MS, and Tele. This role requires flexibility to float between units and adjust to different patient needs, ensuring clinical excellence and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Implement nursing interventions accurately and promptly according to unit protocols and patient needs.
• Utilize Epic and other systems to document patient care, medication administration, and assessments.
• Maintain compliance with all certification, licensure, and hospital policies, ensuring swift onboarding and adherence.
• Adapt quickly to different units and patient populations, demonstrating clinical competence in ICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, and other specialties.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid GA or Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience, with recent ICU or step-down experience preferred.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools.
• Show flexibility in scheduling, including working weekends, major holidays, and floating across units.
• Possess excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability.
