Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced MedSurg/Telemetry RN with valid NY licensure to provide specialized nursing care on a busy acute care unit. This role requires comprehensive clinical skills and adaptability to a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse medical and neurological conditions.
• Interpret and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias, including management and rapid response coordination.
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment, ensuring accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms.
• Implement and maintain infection control precautions and isolation procedures.
• Facilitate IV therapy, peripheral line care, and phlebotomy procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based stroke and neurological care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license at the time of application.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent MedSurg/Telemetry nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC charting and cardiac monitoring.
• Be ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certified; valid NIHSS is required.
• Able to interpret dysrhythmias and manage emergency response teams effectively.
• Comfortable floating within skill set, covering ICU and medical floors as needed.
