Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN to provide specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients across various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, peds medsurg, Peds PACU, peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby. This role requires adaptability to float within the pediatric department and experience in critical care settings.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU and float units.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret vital signs, and implement treatment plans.
• Collaborate with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow all hospital policies, protocols, and safety procedures, including UVAs float policy.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health record systems, including Epic.
• Adhere to certification and licensing requirements, maintaining up-to-date BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state.
• At least 2 years of PICU experience is required.
• Demonstrate previous PICU/NICU float pool experience and comfort with pediatric care.
• Hold current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Have valid Epic electronic health record experience.
• Certification in Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding or be willing to submit pending certification.
