Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care in the emergency department, addressing diverse patient needs with urgency and compassion. Collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver timely, high-quality emergency care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patient conditions upon admission, prioritizing care based on acuity levels.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and carry out procedures such as IV placement and splinting.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in the EMR system.
• Monitor and operate medical equipment including cardiac monitors and IV pumps.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Attend mandatory shift huddles and comply with unit policies, including EMTALA training and dress code.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and at least 1 year of emergency department experience.
• Proven ability to perform assessments, medication administration, and wound care.
• Must have Level II or Level III trauma experience.
• Certification in TNCC, ENPC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS required or preferred.
• Demonstrates compassion, urgency, and strong teamwork skills.
