Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant provides skilled rehabilitative services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to patients with physical functioning disorders. They support clinical interventions aimed at restoring mobility and improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of evidence-based clinical interventions for patients with physical impairments.
• Administer various treatment procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist for treatment adjustments.
• Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and management of physical disorders.
• Document all clinical activities, patient responses, and treatment outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and ongoing training to enhance clinical skills and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active State License as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Possess at least 1 year of experience as a PTA, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency with clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervising therapists and health team members.
• Show strong communication skills to effectively coordinate patient care and progress reporting.
• Ability to supervise and support student therapists under guidance of a Physical Therapist.
