Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU, ensuring their complex medical needs are met with a focus on safety and comfort. Float among various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, peds med-surg, peds PACU, peds ED, and postpartum/mother-baby to support departmental staffing needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor pediatric patients’ condition, identifying changes that require intervention.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures following physician orders and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Document patient care accurately and comprehensively in electronic medical records.
• Adhere to clinical policies, infection control, and safety standards across multiple pediatric units.
• Support float pool flexibility by effectively transitioning between units as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with current state licensure, or pending license with verification.
• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience, demonstrating advanced pediatric critical care skills.
• Valid CPR/BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Prior experience with Epic electronic health records required.
• Experience in NICU or peds PACU preferred.
• Infant-Driven Feeding certification or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
