Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The role involves delivering high-level monitoring and intervention to cardiovascular ICU patients requiring advanced nursing skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients’ cardiovascular status, responding promptly to changes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition and conduct safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain meticulous medical records.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and travel requirements, including background clearances and drug screens.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Ohio license or a valid compact license in hand at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 18 months of recent, combined permanent CVICU experience, ideally within a single facility.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required, with all certifications in hand upon submission.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and pass the safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
• Be willing to work every other holiday and comply with all travel and licensure regulations.
• Maintain negative drug screens and be nicotine free, except for Nurses and CSTs who are exempt.
