Job Summary:
The Surgical Technician prepares and maintains the sterile environment of the operating room, ensuring that surgical equipment and supplies are ready for procedures. They assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, managing supplies, and maintaining sterile fields to support efficient surgical workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Set up the operating room by organizing surgical instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment.
• Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control standards throughout procedures.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies during surgeries.
• Perform initial and final instrument, sharps, and sponge counts in collaboration with circulating staff.
• Keep accurate records of sterilizer usage and supply inventory, ensuring proper stock levels.
• Help with patient positioning, gowning, gloving, and transporting patients pre- and post-surgery.

Qualifications:

• Possess or be willing to obtain Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent; advanced training preferred.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of related surgical assisting experience.
• Hold BLS certification and showcase exceptional attention to detail.
• Exhibit a strong ability to work accurately in fast-paced clinical environments.
