Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapist provides specialized radiation treatments to cancer patients, ensuring precise delivery according to physician prescriptions. This role involves independent treatment execution, patient assessments, and collaborative care within a comprehensive cancer center.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of radiation therapy treatments, including simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of treatment aides.
• Assess patient data and conditions to tailor treatment plans to individual needs across the lifespan.
• Operate advanced treatment equipment such as Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and ARIA EMR systems.
• Manage a daily caseload of 25-30 patients, ensuring safety and accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license specializing as a Radiation Therapist.
• Possess ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T) and BLS certification.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of relevant imaging or radiation therapy experience.
• Be proficient in using Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and ARIA EMR.
• Be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Possess strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of treatment modalities such as 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electrons.
