Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring adherence to established standards and promoting patient safety and well-being. Supervises and collaborates with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality care throughout the patient care continuum.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and collect relevant clinical data to inform care planning.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aimed at achieving optimal health outcomes.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to nursing staff and team members efficiently.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed to meet care objectives.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, discharge instructions, and treatment options.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Have at least two years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Maintain BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electronic health record systems, such as EPIC, within the last 12 months.
• Possess strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical judgment skills.
